About Archer Law
Attorney Jennifer Bush Archer has thirty years of legal experience with extensive litigation and negotiation background. She currently provides legal services for clients in Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry, and Franklyn counties. Attorney Archer served as Solicitor for Cumberland County Children and Youth Services for 12 years, with a specialization in child abuse cases. In 2021, Attorney Archer resigned from that position and was appointed to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem on behalf of children involved with Cumberland County Dependency Court and Orphans Court. In addition, she represents a variety of family law clients and serves as Solicitor of Dauphin County Domestic Relations Office.
Attorney Archer graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, and an emphasis in English Literature and Computer Science. Her interest in government and the law was sparked during her tenure at the National Journalism Center in Washington, D.C. She subsequently chose to attend law school at Widener University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and received an American Jurisprudence Award.
For ten years, Attorney Archer worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania negotiating settlements of catastrophic medical malpractice cases, and managing the mass tort breast implant litigation. After her personal experience with adoption, she shifted her professional focus entirely to protecting children and promoting families through her practice of family law.
Attorney Archer is an aggressive litigator, who believes in the civil practice of law. Her philosophy is that she is not only a litigator but also a legal counselor to her clients. As a counselor at law, she imparts a practical understanding of the legal process and key legal issues, she helps clients weigh the potential positive and negative impact of any action taken, and she assists with professional support as clients make what are often the most difficult decisions of their lives during times of crisis.
